Asian Institute of Technology and Management

Located in Khumaltar heights, Satdobato, Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) is one of the newest yet, reputed educational institutions offering courses in business administration, information and communication technology and infrastructure and engineering.



Affiliated to the prestigious Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand, the college offers two-stage bachelor-level and programs in Civil and Infrastructures Engineering and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and two-stage masters programs in Business Administrations and Business Administration- Energy business. It is two-stage program because it starts in Nepal and ends in Thailand for the four years bachelors, you will be studying for two years in Nepal and two years in Thailand, same with two years masters.

AITM is the only institution through which AIT offers its international degrees in Nepal which is one of the reasons for some of its best infrastructure, management and faculty in the country. The college being a part of an institution which was awarded with Ramon Magsaysay for peace and international understanding in 1989, is sure to create a new generation of engineers and managers who are committed to Asia in an atmosphere of academic excellence and regional Camaraderie like AIT, Thailand.

The first student from Nepal to receive a degree from AIT was Laxmi Ghimire who joined AIT in 1971 and till date 2012 about 1300 Nepali students has received masters and PhD degrees from AIT. The best thing about the two-stage program is that the students will be guided by international personnel who excel in their respective fields. The students will earn national as well as international degrees and will be exposed to the best blend of research and training.

The college was established with an objective of bringing a high level of professionalism in the country and a ‘new breed’ of professionals. The faculty members at AITM consist only of experts and PhDs. It aims to generate experts who will be able to excel in the field and be able to change how things work in Nepal.
