Kings way, also known commonly as Durbar Marg is one of the favorite shopping destinations for those who seek branded products. With the various stores and Sherpa Mall, Durbar Marg has developed as a favorite and regular place for many over time.



John Players, Zara, Bentley etc. are some of the brands that have their own outlet in Durbar Marg. From clothes to bags to footwear and accessories, Durbar Marg offers everything you need. The Sherpa Mall has various stores that sells some of the popular ‘brands’ and also has restaurants and eateries to dine on after the long hours of shopping.

Not only shopping options but Durbar Marg also has various top class restaurants two five star hotels and eateries making it one of the popular hangouts for the foodies. Hotel Yak and Yeti and Hotel Del’ Annapurna are two five stars hotels located here. Also, two of the most popular international food chains named Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Pizzahut are situated here. Next to the KFC, there is also an outlet of Creambell ice-cream. The place got its name as King’s Way as it is located on the way to the former Royal Palace of Narayanhiti. It is located on the way to Hattisar from Jamal or Ghantaghar. There is also a Traffic police division (station) in the area.

The area, however, is also expensive as compared to others in terms of shopping and eating out. It is also crowded, usually with the private and public vehicles making their way through Durbar Marg to their destinations.
