Deviled eggs

The diverse Nepali cultural and ethnic groups have their own unique food and recipes that have their own rich taste. Nepali culture is rich when it comes to cuisines as the numerous cultural and ethnic groups have contributed to enrich Nepali food culture with their unique cuisines and recipes.



One of the cuisines belonging to the Tamang and Lama communities of Nepal is the Deviled eggs. The recipe for preparing deviled in a typical way is given below:

Ingredients:

1 dozen large eggs

2 tsp mustard

¼ tsp sauce

¼ tsp salt (or to taste)

1/8 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp fresh grated onion

¼ tsp fresh minced parsley

¼ tsp fresh minced oregano

¼ tsp fresh snipped chives

¼ tsp fresh lemon juice

¼ cup mayonnaise

Procedure:

First of all, boil the eggs and chill thoroughly then, carefully remove shells from eggs or you could also remove the egg shells while it is still hot by keeping it under the running water. Then, using a sharp knife, slice each egg in half lengthwise. Then carefully remove yolk from each egg and place the yolk in a mixing bowl. Place the egg white halves on a serving platter with the cut-side up. Mash the yolk using a fork until it is completely smooth and add the remaining ingredients to the yolk mixing them thoroughly. Now, put the yolk mixture into the egg white halves and leave it to chill. Serve your deviled eggs when you need.

For better look, put the yolk using an icing tube.
