Known popularly as GEMS school, Graded English Medium School was established in 1984 at Sanepa, Lalitpur. Later in the year 2000, it shifted its senior classes and boarding sector to Khumaltar, Dhapakhel in Lalitpur which covers around one hundred and ten ropanies of land. Established with the aim of providing quality education of an international standard, the school has been successful in becoming one of the first choices of the students.

The school was established with a vision of becoming a leading educational institution ultimately offering a complete range of quality education of an international standard. Its mission and objectives is to provide quality education of an international standard keeping in mind the psychological and physical needs of aspiring students and also train the so as to enable them to develop their talent and shed their radiance like precious and pure GEM’s serene rays wherever they go.

It has expanded its school level to undergraduate level and runs plus two programs with affiliation to Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) and undergraduate courses on Arts and Humanities, Management, Pure Science to Medical Science. It also offers international courses such as GCE ‘A’ levels under the University of Cambridge, UK and BS/MD program under affiliation with Angeles University Foundation, Philippines since 2008.

The major focus of the school is on providing quality education to its students so that they can excel in every aspects of their life. The school not only emphasizes on education but also prioritize extra-curricular activities such as debate, quiz, sports, etc. The calm and pleasant environment and setting of the school also helps in its mission of imparting quality education to its students.
