Established with the objective of providing quality health services in the year 2009 AD, HAMS Hospital came up with its academic wing for providing health education through nursing program. The college known as HAMS Nursing College follows the principles of nursing and is affiliated to the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

The team at the hospital established the nursing college with the aim of assisting the government to meet their goal of providing easy access to people to health and education. The college aspires to deliver health education of the highest quality to meet the needs of individuals, academic institution, health institution and the country as a whole increasing participation and by raising the intellectual, academic and practical achievements of young people and adults in the country by providing skills, knowledge and qualification as well as by facilitating the ethical norms and social responsibilities.

The college that offers three years PCL Nursing, commonly known as staff nursing, program was established with the objectives of preparing the students with holistic knowledge and skills in the field of nursing through excellent teaching, producing different levels of nursing human resources and other health professionals with the competency needed for the provision of quality health care to people in hospital as well as in community settings, enriching the capability of students through the application of advance information technology, developing the leadership capabilities of students through excellent theoretical and practical learning experience to enhance the quality of service delivery in health sector, providing culturally diverse opportunities for the students and faculty and increasing the job opportunities for its graduates by enhancing their capabilities to compete in the global market.

The college that takes only forty students per class aims to produce motivated, conscientious and task oriented basic to high level health professionals who as a part of the health team are able to provide quality health care to people at all levels of health care services globally.
