Hari Bansha Acharya

Hari Bansha Acharya is one of the most famous Nepali celebrity of Nepal/ He is a well renowned public figure. He is an actor, a comedian, a public activist, singer and song writer.



Hari Bansha Acharya was born on 27th Kartik 2014 BS (13 November 1958) in Gairidhara, Kathmandu. Hari Bansha Acharya was married to Meera Acharya (2040 BS). They had two sons together. His wife, who was suffering from a heart disease for a long time, sadly passed away due to heart attack in April 20, 2011. This left the great comedian in great shock and terror. But he later got remarried to Ramila Pathak (who also had a son with her late first husband) after one and a half years of his first wife’s demise.

During the first phase of his career, he started off by working in Radio Nepal in 2031 BS. He then joined Rastriya Naach Ghar in 2032. His had participation in Gaijatra Mahotsav in 2034 BS was the first stairs towards his entertainment career’s success. He struggled alone for about 6 years in the Nepali entertainment industry. Then after only did he begin performing with Madan Krishna Shrestha. The partnership of these two famous personalities got them both to their carrer’s peak success.

Hari Bansha Acharya has worked in many films, including: LovipapiFilimRajamatiSiluBalidaanJe Bho Ramrai bho, and Tan ta sarhai bigrish ni badri, which are some of his most popular films. His theatre programs include Yamlok, Paralysis, Aina, Cockfight and many more. He has also been a part of the Gaijatra programs for decades.

All in all, Hari Bansha Acharya is one of the most prominent personalities in Nepal. He has always worked hard not only for the entertainment business but also for the benefit of the society as well. He is truly a Nepalese treasure.
