Founded in June 2001, Japanese Language and Education Culture Center (JLECC) is an independent center located in Kumaripati, Lalitpur. One of the leading Japanese language centers in the country, it is also a member of Japanese Language Teachers Association of Nepal (JALTAN) and has also been participating actively in various cultural programs organized by JALTAN and the Japanese Embassy. The center that offers wide variety of high quality Japanese language courses inaugurated its first building in July 2008 followed by its second building in April 2012.

Established with the mission of offering wide range of Japanese language courses and providing guidance to aspiring individuals to pursue higher education in Japan, the center is focused in helping the students build their proficiency in the Japanese language with a view to study in Japan at various prestigious institutions. The center specializes in language acquisition for business people, language for academic and technical school preparation and language for culture-oriented programs. The Japanese language center that has been around in the country for over ten years has the capacity of teaching more than three hundred students with its team of experienced and highly qualified teaching staff.

The center provides accurate, comprehensive and objective information about the higher education in Japan along with providing wide range of choices from pre-college, vocational schools and universities located in different cities of Japan. The center that conducts general and special Japanese language courses throughout the year has huge, elegant school building with clean peaceful environment. The small yet specially designed classrooms aids the teachers in providing quality education to the students along with encouraging teacher- student interactions. The teachers give instructions in group as well as to individual students depending upon their need and requirement.

Japanese Language and Education Culture Center offers various Japanese language courses such as Basic (I) course which is a four to six months basic course that enables the students to acquire the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5, Basic (II) course which is a four to six months Japanese language course that enables the students to acquire the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N4, Short term or crash course of one to three months for the individuals or students who have received eligibility letter or who doesn’t have long time to study the language and Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Classes for all level of tests (N5-N1) where N1 and N2 level classes are taught by licensed language teachers and N3 level classes are taught by native Japanese language teacher.
