Established with the belief in competition to get quality education, Kantipur Education Institute (KEI) focuses mainly on the engineering education. The institute offers package courses to the students who aspires to be an engineer along with BE/B Arch and ME entrance preparation classes for IOE Pulchowk Campus, IOE Thapathali Campus, IOE Western Region Campus (Pokhara), IOE Purwanchal Campus (Dharan), TU affiliated colleges, Indian Embassy, Ministry of Education, Kathmandu University (KU) Purwanchal University (PU), Pokhara University (PU) and abroad.

Founded by a group of reputed and senior professors of IOE, TU together with some dedicated post graduate engineers, the institute is the combination of the senior professors’ academic direction, post graduate engineers’ academic counseling and academic management of dedicated senior persons to prepare the students for the competitive education. The institute was named “Kantipur” as a symbolic representation of the whole academic city just as the term “Kantipur” which represents the whole Kathmandu city. The team of thirty eight senior professors and readers is dedicated to provide competitive and quality education to the students who aspire to become an engineer. Each subject taught here will have a coordinator to correspond to the whole academic activities related to the specific subject.

With the major focus on “how to give quality education and how to sharpen students’ ability to compete in entrance exams”, the institute organizes regular academic meetings and output oriented discussions among the faculties about the course materials and teaching styles that are fruitful to the students. Some of the departments and subjects that the institute prepares the students for are Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry, Department of Mathematics, Department of English and Department of Drawing and Aptitude Test.
