Established in 1997, Kathmandu College of Management, popularly known as KCM, is one of the leading management educational institutions in the country located in Gwarko, Lalitpur. The college affiliated to Kathmandu University has been producing management graduates who can effectively contribute to the world of business and management. The quality education, exciting range of courses, bright classmates, competent faculty, supportive staff and an environment that encourages you to challenge, stretch and explore yourself makes your time at KCM exciting and useful.

The college focuses on the individual needs so that when the students graduate, they will be informed, competent, creative, confident and ready to take all the challenges of the world. Their focus, personal attention, group learning environment, depth and breadth of curriculum, excellence of faculty and the strength of corporate relationships derived from their guiding principles and values shape their academic programs and other important strategic decisions that makes it different from other colleges in the country.

The college offers two academic programs, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Business Information System (BBIS). As the college offers only two programs, it is able to focus its efforts and resources on each and every program, student, faculty and employee making the quality education possible for the students. The team of about fifty faculty members works diligently to provide quality education to the children and the annual enrollment of 132 students for the two programs makes it possible for the faculty to give proper time to each and every student. The college prioritizes group work and team approach in the learning process which helps the students learn more from each other’s ideas and experiences.

The curriculum is continuously refined and evaluated to make it relevant to the constantly changing business world and the curriculum covers social sciences, business basics and depth in key functioning areas like marketing, finance, accounting and information systems and technology. The students, here, also has the chance of selecting the courses of their choice from the various elective courses. The college is fully facilitated and provides spacious areas for studying, research work, group work and socialization. The college also provides the students the facility of internships and job placements. Also, the students are capable of learning from the experiences the visiting faculties share with them.

The college also has a research facility named Center for Research Excellence (CRE) which was initiated with the objective of developing a research culture among the members of the college, students and faculties alike, to better educate the students about the importance and benefits of research, and build their capacities for conducting research, to conduct need based research in partnership with corporate and development sector and to conduct academic research, either in collaboration with academic institutes or independently. It is run by the Executive Committee members under the guidance of its advisory board members who are experts in different fields.

Besides these, the college also serves as a testing center as it is the member of testing center for Pearson VUE and Education Testing Service. It is also ETS Certified Test Administration Site (CTAS) for TOEFL iBT and it is also the only authorized testing center for The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) in Nepal.
