Established as a Category ‘B’ financial institution licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, Malika Vikas Bank Limited (MVBL) started its operation since November 10, 1999. The bank is promoted by intellectual and experienced promoters coming from diverse professional backgrounds. The bank, in short period of time, has grown into a pioneer Development Bank of Far Western part of the country in the process of upgrading itself in the national level in the near future with its branch offices at Dhangadhi, Mahendranagar, Tikapur, Lamki, Bouniya, Belauri, Dadeldhura, Doti, Mangalsen, Sanfebagar, Butwal, Basgadhi, Nepalgun, Lamahi and Tulsipur.

The bank was established with the Authorize Capital of eight hundred million, Issued Capital of 210 million and Paid-Up Capital of 204.82 million. About seventy percent of the shares lay in the hands of the promoters while the general public only get thirty percent of the shares to control. The bank has designed its products and services according to the banking needs of the customers. Some of the account services provided by the banks are Malika Saving Account, Malika Special Saving, Malika Super Saving, Malika Grihalaxmi Bachat Yojana, Malika Bidhyarthi Bachat Yojana, Malika Barista Nagarik Bachat Yojana, Malika Fixed Deposits Schemes, Malika Sambridhdi Bachat, Malika Children’s Bachat and Malika Shareholder’s Saving under its saving and deposit account schemes and Fixed Capital Loan, Working Capital Loan, Trading Loan, Hire-Purchase Loan, Contract Loan, Loan Against own FD Receipt, Livestock Loan, Consortium Financing, Project Loan, Housing Loan, Education Loan, Foreign Employment Loan, Personal Loan and Agricultural Loan under its lending services.
