Established with the mission of becoming the one-stop shop for arranging complete holiday in the Himalayan region, pioneering holiday package wholesaler for Nepalese traveling abroad and offering a broad range of airline tickets for that purpose, Marco Polo Travels was started in 1984. The company, after its search for adventure travel, outside of Hong Kong, came to Nepal and began diversifying into various potential markets where promotional activities were not present.
The company built its own, fully facilitated office at Durbar Marg, Kathmandu, Nepal after its successful partnerships with the leading companies in Finland, Denmark, Sweden in Scandinavia and Malaysia. Over the period of time, Marco Polo Travels has successfully started and has been updating its fleet of vehicles (that consists of buses from Mitsubishu, Japan and Sutlej from India along with other mini vans and cars) successfully.
The company attempts to provide excellent “luxury adventure” tours in the Himalayan region to its clients and for the purpose, it has been training its staff. It is also involved in promoting tourism and its potentials in Nepal. The company guided by its motto “Top of the World for the Top Achievers of the World”, aims to provide quality services to its customers that would be able to satisfy their needs and desire.
A pioneering travel company, Marco Polo Travels, in collaboration of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, China National Tourism Office in Kathmandu and selected incoming tour operators in the region, offers outbound tours in the Nepalese market. The company that represents Star Cruises in Nepal also offers tours to Malaysia, Singapore, Indo-China and China to its customers. It is also the General Sales Agent for Malaysia Airlines in Nepal and Special Sales Agent (SSA) for the new airline registered in Nepal (Air Nepal International).
The company affiliated to renowned operators like OAD Reizen (Holland), CITS (China), Excellence Holidays and Parlo Tours (Malaysia), Tour East (Canada, Highland Adventures (Brazil), etc. has trained and experienced employees who provide quality service to the customer so that the clients would not feel uncomfortable.
