Established in the year 2001, National Medical College is promoted by the ‘National Medical College Company Pvt. Ltd.’ under the Chairmanship of Dr. Janinuddin Ansari, an outstanding surgeon who has earned national and international credentials for the promotion of promotion of Medicao-Social services. Considered as one of the best medical colleges in Nepal, especially in terms of infrastructure, academic facilities and modern sophisticated medical equipments, the college offers educational programs with affiliation to Tribhuvan University.



The college, also recognized by Nepal Medical Council, an international institution for Medical Education aims to produce the most competent and knowledgeable medical doctors and Para-medicals for meeting the growing demands of technical human power of the country and of the Global Village. The college situated at the south eastern sub-metropolitan city of Birgunj in western part of Nepal, it is only three kilometers away from the Indian border town of Raxaul (in Bihar). One single campus holds the infrastructures like Pre-clinical and Clinical departments, teaching hospital, school of nursing, student hostels, quarters for faculties and other staff, library, etc. One of the major banking networks of Nepal has a branch within the National Medical College campus with twenty-four hour ATM facility facilitating the students, staffs and the patients with the easy money transactions.

The college offers courses on MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), post graduate medical programs like MD and MS along with nursing programs like Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing, Bachelor of Science (B Sc)in Nursing and B.N. (post basic) Nursing.
