Nepal Police Higher Secondary Boarding School
Established in the year 2040 BS, Nepal Police Higher Secondary Boarding School (NPHSBS) was established with the major objective of helping to educate the children of police personnel. Commonly known as “Police School”, it is an exclusive co-educational residential school that has received affiliations to SLC (School Leaving Certificate) board and Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) in Nepal. This non-profit academic institution was established under the welfare program of Nepal Police Organization and the central school at Sanga in Kavre district acts as the umbrella institution for seven regional Police Schools all across the country.
Established with the major objective of imparting quality boarding school education to the children of police personnel and selected children of civilians (around forty percent), the schools explore the students’ potential for assisting in their overall development along with making them disciplined. With its motto ‘Better Schooling for Ideal Citizens’, the school is committed to transform the students into globally competent citizens or also leader who will be able to lead the world of tomorrow. Producing skilled and efficient human resources by grooming the students within a homely and warm atmosphere is one of the major missions of the school.
Because of its dedication to impart quality education to the students, the central school had also received Birendra Vidhya Rastriya Shield in the years 2051/52 BS and 2055/56 BS. The school has also received Birendra Shield Regional Award in the year 2048 BS and Regional Award in the year 2061 BS. Situated at Sanga in Kavre district, few kilometers from Kathmandu, is the Central School (Nepal Police Higher Secondary Boarding School) with its other branches established at various places. The other six Police Schools across the country are Eastern Regional Police Boarding High School in Dharan, Sunsari, Mid-Regional Police Boarding High School in Jigadhiya, Rautahat, Western Regional Police Boarding High School in Belchautara in Tanahu district, Mid-Western Regional Police Boarding High School in Gularia, Dang district, Far Western Regional Police Boarding High School in Dhangadi in Kailali district and Nepal Police School in Samakhusi, Kathmandu.
