Shanker Dev Campus

Founded in 1951 as Nepal National College, Shankar Dev Campus got its present name in the year 1973 following the government policy of amalgamating it into Tribhuvan University and recognizing Prof. Shankar Dev Pant’s contribution towards purchasing the site and erecting the building for the college. The college was initially housed temporarily at Durbar High School and then at Tri-Chandra College before being shifted to the present site where it stands proudly in its own area in Putalisadak, Kathmandu.

The college is located on the way to Old Buspark from Putalisadak, along the road between the river Tukucha and Putalisadak in Kathmandu. Several wings had been added to the original structure on several occasions overtime and the campus planning has been annually followed since 1973. The buildings provides enough space for educational, administrative and financial divisions along with spacious classrooms, teacher’s room, academic departments, a library, a computer lab, a multi-purpose hall, a student union, a fountain, a basketball and a volleyball court and separate restrooms for students.
