Established in the year 2055 BS with the vision of establishing and developing such an academic center where the blend of science, management and humanities stands as bed rock in pursuit of nation building, New Summit College is a well established educational institution promoted by a team of young and dynamic educators who have been involved in the field of education for many years. The college offers four different academic programs in operation that are plus two programs in science and management with affiliation to Higher Secondary Education Board, GCE A-Level with affiliation to Cambridge University and Bachelor’s level programs such as B Sc CSIT and BBS with affiliation to Tribhuvan University.

The college established with the mission of building a legacy of excellence by providing theoretical and practical education, developing future scientists, managers and entrepreneurs through innovative, creative and value based academic practices and produce skillful human resources in the area of productive and professional jobs, has been functioning as a part of KMC Educational Network that consists of scholars, educationalists and professionals since 2068 BS.

The college that was established as the provider of higher secondary level education has since, developed and extended its horizon to broader sectors by incorporating GCE A-Level and Bachelor level studies under its wing. New Summit College considers it as its major objectives to develop graduates in the area of science, management and information technology through optimum utilization of human and physical resources of the college, provide globally competent education in disciplined environment with utmost personal caring, create conducive learning environment to groom out the inner talent of the students and to maintain corporate relationship with different academic institutions and universities of home and abroad.

Since its establishment, the college has been dedicated to provide world class education to the students and it has, so far, garnered positive results as well. Its efforts have been paid up in terms of the success its ex-students have achieved in their desired fields of profession. The college is leaded by a team of experts who are dedicated to impart value based quality education to the students. They have adopted modern techniques of teaching that incorporates the use of audio visual aids, presentations, etc.

The college is well equipped and facilitated with various infrastructures required to assist in providing quality education. The well stocked library and fully functional computer labs help the students find resource and reference materials they require in assisting their academic courses. The college provides hygienic cafeteria, separate hostels for boys and girls close to the college and also transportation services to those who requires it. New Summit College, along with imparting quality education to the students, also encourages the students to participate in extracurricular activities as well as other sports.

The college has merged with Universal College and named as New summit and Universal college. It is located in  Tinkune, Kathmandu.
