The trek starts from Dhunche takes through Gosaikunda Lake. On the way you will pass through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal, conversation with the locals will give you information about the beautiful natural aspects, people and custom of the local people there. The lake holds great religious significance for the Hindus as well as the Buddhists and lets you take a glimpse to their religion and lifestyle. The cultural trip from Gosaikunda to Tharepati, Tarkeghyang and Sermathang helps you understand the Buddhist culture and religion which makes your trip not only exciting but also informative. Below Shermathang, the mixed culture of the Hindu and Buddhists makes it interesting and colorful. The bio-diversity, people, religion, culture and customs of Helambu and the scenery from here and also on the trail are what attract trekkers here. The living style of the people, farming and settlement in the place with a backdrop of mountain ranges like Dorje Lhakpa, Langshisa, Ganesh Himal, Gaurishankar, etc. is quite an experience one can have only through the trek to Helambu. The colorful rhododendron forest, pine forest and spruce makes for a pleasant view on the way and throughout Helambu.

It could also be trekked from Sundarijal for which you need to walk through jungle up to Tharepati. This route is rewarding for the biologists and researchers. This trail passes through the forests and jungles with rich biodiversity, especially the flora diversity. Another trail starts from Melamchi Bazaar to Dunche from where the trekking route is the same like that mentioned above.
