Triveni Cement Division

An additional part of Triveni Group, Triveni Cement Division is the umbrella organization for all the cement companies under Triveni Group that are Vishwarkarma Cement, Shree Pashupati Cement and Kapilvastu Cement. Triveni Cement Division is the centralized body that controls and administrates the companies under it towards the common goal of being a sustainable, pollution free, cost effective plant. It lets all of its companies to work on a single platform which creates a sense of equality, consistency and consequently a mutual growth of both, the company, the employees and hence, the economy.



The major objectives of Triveni Cement Division are mutual growth of the company, employees and the community by means of teamwork, integrity and commitment, community welfare: creating job opportunity for local people in Ghorahi for a quality life style and development, working collectively towards a sustainable environment, to the maximum extent possible, equip and nurture Nepal with A-grade cement, which can suffice the need of the locals and also withstand any natural calamities, bringing in a paradigm shift on the grounds of construction in Nepal, providing utmost satisfaction to the consumers through their paramount quality and become a premium conglomerate, with outstanding service performances.

One of the largest cement plants in Nepal, Ghorahi Cement Industry Private Limited (GCIPL) is located in Dang district in the place named Ghorahi. The factory performs the task of digging the mine to delivering the cement to the distributors. The plant that manufactures PPC (Portland Pozzolona Cement) and OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement) strives to serve the nation and its people by creating an import substitute of Rs 10 billion, which comes in the form of clinker import to Nepal each year. Also, it aims to create about 250 direct jobs, domestic employment to over eighty people and provide training to operate and maintain a cement plant based on international norms of cement manufacturing.

A cement grinding unit under Triveni Cement Division, Vishwakarma Cement Private Limited manufactures PPC and OPC cement in the eastern part of Nepal. Established in 2003, the factory has been catering to the Nepalese market with high grade cement, providing domestic employment to over eighty people and providing training to operate and maintain a cement plant. It produces 1000 MT of cement per day.

Established in the year 2002, Shree Pashupati Cement Plant is a large scale unit with a capacity of producing more than 600 MT PPC per day by grinding clicker, fly ash and gypsum together. Highly sensitive towards pollution, the industry has taken adequate measures and provisions to minimize environmental pollution by dust arresting and recycling mechanism at each and every dust generation point. The product it markets is manufactured under the brand name of Gorkha which comes in a 50 kg net weight bag. It provides employment to over 100 employees who work together towards meeting the goal of full capacity utilization.

vishwakarma cementAbiding by its motto to continuously upgrade their technology and hence, their product and service quality to satisfy the needs of customer and to take extreme care in order to minimize environmental pollution caused due to the operation of plant, the plant produces OPC, PPC, Slag cement and minerals by adopting environment friendly approach.

As its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Triveni Cement Division has been making contributions in the field of education, welfare and community, health and safety, sustainability development and village development. It provides NPR 19000 scholarships, which is divided between the students securing first, second and third positions in their respective classes, to promote outstanding students in higher secondary schools located in Goglee, Dang district of Nepal. It also provides 24 hours power backup to these higher secondary schools. Committed to producing products in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, the company is dedicated to working co-operatively with local community groups and government to address environmental challenges and improve communication and create opportunities for open relations between Triveni Cement Division and the residential communities that surround the company land.

With health and safety as its core business value, the company is committed to create a future free of incident or injuries where all stakeholders, other activities create a safe environment, leadership passion and commitment are present at all levels and good safety behavior is admired, respected and recognized across the organization. Provides free medical insurance to all the local laborers working at site and all the injuries are borne by the company.

As a responsible corporate citizen, it contribute to the sustainable power development and discharge social responsibilities in the areas of the environment protection by presenting the seminars and training on recycled tree-free, for paperless working. It also attempts to utilize the ash produced at its stations to the maximum extent possible and for its approach of protecting the environment, it has started tree plantation.

With the aim to maintain flexible strategies linked to the overall business modules, it has been conducting awareness programs, seminars, health camps, etc. for the community, to help them maintain a healthy standard of living which is done by actively involving in the construction of civil structure buildings, road construction and providing jobs on site and training to the locals. It has also been providing clean drinking water in Laxmipur area by building two deep bore wells and numerous overhead water tanks throughout the village. It also helps in infrastructure development works and programs that are based on drainage and sanitary system issues and has also been providing free education on health and hygiene and on the maintenance of the livestock to uplift the living standard of the local community people. It has also provided irrigation facilities to Sonapur Village and has been organizing medical camps to provide free medical assistance to the patients from the qualified doctors.
