The organization is committed to the development of the country and is constantly in pursuit of new challenges and areas to expand its horizon. Through Vijaya Academy of Health and Science (in affiliation with universities from Australia and Philippines), it provides four year Bachelor level courses in Nursing at Biratnagar in eastern Nepal where about three hundred nurses graduate from the college each year. With the intention of keeping up with the technological growth around the world, VOITH has established a contact center going by the name of ServingMinds Private Limited. The center, VOITH’s joint venture with the Mercantile Group, is one of the first of multi-media international Contact Centers in Asia. Established in 2001, the center is based in Kathmandu and offers inbound and outbound voice services for the purpose of sales and marketing, market research and analysis and database development along with providing an array of Internet support services.

“Little things we do” is what keeps the Vaidya’s Organization of Industries and Trading Houses motivated. The organization has also been reaching out to the communities directly involving itself in social welfare activities. It is focused on providing education for the underprivileged, environmental conservation and sports. As its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), it has built a number of schools in close vicinity to its tea gardens and agro-based industries so the employee’s children could receive an education at highly subsidized fees. Similarly, the orphans and also the handicapped and poor children are provided with scholarships to study in different schools across Nepal. The organization has also been sponsoring the education of seventeen Nepalese students pursuing their degrees in medicine, engineering and agriculture in Philippines. It has also built numerous waiting stands at the bus stops for the comfort of passengers. It has also gifted vehicles to the Nepal Red Cross Society, Nepal Family Planning Association and for the protection of wildlife in the national parks and has also setup awards for conservationists. In terms of sports, it has been sponsoring the All-Nepal Annual Toyota Hockey Tournament, Toyota Golf Tournament and the ANFA Football Tournament. Besides these, the organization has sponsored various events such as Women’s Motor Rally and the International Marathon which was organized in Nepal for the first time.
