Bheja, the organization for Magar Community
Bheja organization is found in the Magar community. It is a religious, cultural and economic organization of Magars. It helps in performing religious festivals, rites and rituals, celebrations, traditional practices and agricultural works. Bheja also helps in conduct economic activities and resource mobilization.
Bheja consist of a group of 15 to 20 households. The leadership lies in the hands of the eldest member of the group and is known as Mukhiya. Once the people become the member of a Bheja, it is compulsory for them to follow the norms and values of the group. It helps in strengthening the bond among the group members providing them financial, emotional support and recreational activities.
