Nepal Engineering College

Known popularly as NEC, Nepal Engineering College, is located in Changunarayan, Bhaktapur, covers an area of 40 ropanies. The college was established in 1994 with an objective of providing technical education to enhance the skill and knowledge of students in technical and engineering fields.



The college established with the vision of evolving as a center of higher education and excellence in the academics by engaging in education, research and outreach as its three faceted functions has the mission of providing the youth with the best opportunities and environment for higher education and research in engineering technology and applied sciences to help them attain high level of academic excellence, scientific temper, technical and professional competence and life skills. The college considers training and developing youth as complete person ready to serve the people and society to alleviate their sufferings and improve their quality of life inculcating the values to appreciate the needs for ethical standards in personal, social and pubic life, as its mission and with the aim of helping them become a leader and help in the development of the nation.

The courses offered here are undergraduate courses on Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil and Rural Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering for diploma holders and graduate courses on Construction Management (CM), Natural Resources Management (NRM), Interdisciplinary Water Resources Management (IWRM) and Transportation Engineering Management (TEM) along with Bachelors in Architecture, all with the affiliation to Pokhara University. The college is fully facilitated in terms of transportation, spacious and well resourced library, free WiFi facility, spacious and bright classrooms, hygienic cafeteria, playground and peaceful environment to enjoy studying in quiet and peaceful environment. It also organize extracurricular activities such through the Student Welfare Fund under it along with organizing Robotic competition by CRCT, field visit, tour, research, etc. to increase the innovations and talents of the students.
