Shivsankhar Cinema Hall is the only cinema hall in Rajbiraj and is located near the Sunita Bakery. The hall shows varieties of movies in various languages like Hindi, Nepali, Bhojpuri and sometimes English with Hindi dubbed.

Shivsankhar is the only one hall in Rajbiraj that has been entertaining the local crowd by screening latest Bollywood, kollywood (digital) or Bhojpuri movies with few exceptions of Hollywood movie in Hindi dubbing. At first, Shivsankhar used to show only Bhojpuri and old Hindi movies but now it is linked with Jai Nepal Cinema hall which has enabled it to screen new Hindi as well as Nepali movies as soon as they release and as there is only one hall inside the building, the movies are screened according to their popularity or the chances of popularity among the audience. The theatre room is divided into two sections, upper and lower where upper section is also referred to the balcony and the first floor while the lower section is refers to the ground floor. There are also cabins with limited number of seats providing personal space to the family and friends. The ticket price for upper section is Rs 60 whereas for lower section the ticket price is Rs 30 and the ticket price for cabin is Rs 100. There is also a cafeteria situated inside the building where one can buy refreshments while watching the movie. However, it has pros and cons.

Since, the Shivsankhar hall is the only hall in Rajbiraj, it is mostly packed whenever a new movie is released. It being the only place in Rajbiraj for watching movies in big screen has, however, resulted in its upgrading from traditional way of showing movies to a digitalized way with a digital sound. Though it has some positive aspects, there are many negative aspects of Shivsankhar cinema hall. Though it has digital sound system, the sound quality is not good enough. Seats are also uncomfortable and the hall is not properly managed. Smoking, spitting, etc. is common inside the theatre and there are no such rules to avoid people from doing it.

Shivsankhar hall, although it has many negative aspects than positive, is able to gather huge crowds for watching movies in it because of it being the only movie hall in Rajbiraj which lets the people enjoy watching movies freely along with hooting, shouting and whistling.
