Founded in the year 1998 by a group of experienced educationists and professionals, College of Applied Business, popularly known as CAB, is a non-profit institution committed to excellence. It has been applying appropriate module and the technique in teaching curriculum to make the students competent in their fields. It has been helping its students to change their personality and increase their confidence level as well as knowledge by conducting regular presentations in class, seminars, research and industrial observation tours.

It is affiliated to the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) and Tribhuwan University (TU) and provides various programs for the students to chose from, like Plus Two program in Commerce and three undergraduate programs of TU that are three years program The Bachelors of Business Studies (BBS), two four year programs: The Bachelors in Information Management (BIM), Bachelors in Science and Information Technology and the Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA).

The students do not exceed more than 30 per class resulting in better interaction between the students and teachers. And also, only two sections per class are accepted which make a total of sixty students enrolling in one program per batch. Moreover, the entrance exams are also taken seriously while selecting the students for the new semesters keeping in mind that only the deserving candidates are selected.

There are about fifty full-time and part-time teachers working efficiently to impart best knowledge to the students. The college has been providing the theoretical classes by introducing professional managers, scholars and other professional from different walks of life as guest lecturers to expose students with the real business world.

It also has the transfer facility for the students who are interested in abroad studies. It has signed the Transfer Credit Agreement with THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK (SUNY) at Plattsburg according to which the CAB students will be able to transfer up to sixty credit hours to the University if they desire. The college is managed and operated by the Principal of the college who also works as the executive head.

CAB aims to empower the youth with truth, knowledge and realities of life and help them discover ways to lead prosperous life in dignified manner. Over the period of time since its establishment, College of Applied Business (CAB) has been successful to establish itself as one of the best colleges of management in Nepal. And among the students of management, it does not even require introduction or publicity.
